Monthly Maths Challenge
The Project Maths Development Team in partnership with STEPS Ireland (www.steps.ie) are pleased to announce the launch of the "Monthly Maths Challenge".
The competition is open to all Junior Cycle students (first, second and third year). Each month one lucky student will win a €100 "One 4 All" voucher.
All winners will be invited to attend a prize giving ceremony in May 2012, where they will receive their prize and be crowned "Mathematician of the Month"

New Teaching & Learning Plans Available
There are 3 new Teaching & Learning Plans available on the Project Maths website. The T&L's are relevant to Strand 3 and can be located under the "Teachers" Tab on our website.

All Teaching & Learning Plans developed to date can be viewed by selecting the "Teacher Tab" on www.projectmaths.ie and viewing the relevant Strand and student level.
New Student Activities for Patterns & Algebra Now Available
New student activities involving Algebra & Patterns are now available online. These activities can be accessed using the Teachers Tab, selecting Strand 4 and browsing through the "Supplementary Material" container on the page. Alternatively, you can click below for instant access.

Workshop 4: Focus on Patterns (Mop Ups)
Workshop 4: Focus on Patterns is being re run in several Education Centres throughout the country. If for any reason you were unable to attend Workshop 4, you can now reserve a place by contacting the Project Maths Administrator on 01 8576422 OR 01 8576428. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Last chance to register for John Hooper Medal Poster Competition 2012
Minister Sean Sherlock and the Central Statistics Office announced the 2012 John Hooper Medal for Statistics competition. This competition requires students to create a poster that uses statistics to describe or make sense of daily life. Students can win cash prizes for their school and themselves and the winning team will be presented with the beautiful hand crafted John Hooper silver medal.
