Workshop 4: Focus on Patterns (Mop Ups)
Workshop 4: Focus on Patterns is being re run in several Education Centres throughout the country. If for any reason you were unable to attend Workshop 4, you can now reserve a place by contacting the Project Maths Administrator on 01 8576422 OR 01 8576428. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment .

New Teaching & Learning Plans Available
The Project Maths Development Team is pleased to announce that they are several new Teaching and Learning Plans now available online. Select the relevant T&L below to view it.
T&L Ratio & Proportion | T&L: Quadratic Equations | T&L: Geometric Sequences | T&L Arithmetic Sequences
All Teaching & Learning Plans developed to date can be viewed by selecting the "Teacher Tab" on www.projectmaths.ie and viewing the relevant Strand and student level.
Workshop 6: Exploring Connections and Reasoning Leading to Proof

Workshop 5: Content now available online
All content pertaining to Workshop 5: A Further Exploration of Statistics & Algebra is now available online. Select the "Workshop Tab" on www.projectmaths.ie or alternatively click here for direct access.
Modular Courses on Strands 3 & 4 Now Available
The Project Maths Development Team, is pleased to offer this modular course on Strands 3 & 4: Number & Algebra. The course will focus on new elements of the syllabus, methodology and provide student centered activities. The course will cover topics from Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate syllabus.
All attendance will be certified.
Modules (4 x 2.5 hours each)
1. Linear Patterns: Arithmetic Sequences & Series
2. Exploring properties of quadratic, cubic and exponential graphs
3. Further exploration of patterns using Arithmetic & Geometric Series
4. Applications of Geometric Sequences.

NCCA Student Zone Posters
Keep an eye out for Project Maths posters. They should have arrived in your school after the Christmas break. The posters direct students to a “Student Zone” on the NCCA website, where they will find activities, tasks, presentations to help them with their maths. Check it out at www.ncca/projectmaths.ie .

John Hooper Medal Poster Competition 2012
Minister Sean Sherlock and the Central Statistics Office announced the 2012 John Hooper Medal for Statistics competition. This competition requires students to create a poster that uses statistics to describe or make sense of daily life. Students can win cash prizes for their school and themselves and the winning team will be presented with the beautiful hand crafted John Hooper silver medal.
