Linking maths at primary and post-primary school
Wondering how primary maths links to what students are learning now in their maths classes in post-primary school? Is the language they are familiar with from primary maths the same at second level? You can make greater connections between the maths learnt at primary and the maths at post-primary by checking out the Bridging Framework, which will help to make those important links. You can find curriculum connections and sample learning activities on the NCCA’s ACTION website. You might also be interested in looking at some Project Maths classroom activities. Visit [email protected] for more information.
